G. Harrod and Sons, on Church Street in Carlton became part of the A.W.Lymn group in October 1994. The business was originally run by Gerald Harrod along with his father, and although Gerald has officially retired, he still conducts funerals by request for those families who know him. The office is now run by Melvin Picker who has many years funeral experience. During 2006 the premises were totally refurbished to make two large chapels of rest, a family room, and an ample reception area. The office is open from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.
